Photos Series I 2026
For this personal project, I had the privilege of documenting a home birth: an intimate, unscripted moment shared between a woman, her husband, their toddler, and the midwife who guided them through it. Shot almost entirely in black and white, the series follows the quiet intensity of labor through to the first moments of a new life.
I wanted to capture not just the event itself, but the presence and connection between everyone in the room: the concentration, the exhaustion, the relief, the love. Stripped of color, the images focus on what mattered most in that space: closeness, trust, and the raw honesty of a family welcoming its newest member.
